Terms of service

SilencerPart is a classifieds venue where people list suppressor parts and accessories, message each other and organize group buys. We are not a party to any sale. We don't sell, own, inspect, hold or ship the items listed, we don't take payment or hold funds, and we don't guarantee that a listing is accurate, that an item is safe or lawful for you to own, or that a buyer, seller or organizer will follow through. Deals are strictly between the people making them.

Nothing on SilencerPart, including the compliance guidance and guides, is legal advice.

• You must be at least 21 years old.
• Before you list, message a seller or join a group buy, you confirm that you aren't prohibited from possessing firearms under 18 U.S.C. 922(g) or (n) and that you will follow every federal, state and local law that applies to you. If that stops being true, stop using SilencerPart.
• Give a real email address and keep access to it; it's how you sign in. You're responsible for what happens under your account.
• You can delete your account any time, as described in our privacy policy.

Under the Gun Control Act, a silencer and any part intended only for assembling one is a firearm. Each listing is marked Firearm part or Accessory by its category. For firearm parts:

• Sales between residents of different states go through the buyer's FFL. Never ship a firearm part to a buyer's home in another state.
• Same-state sales follow your state's law, which may also require an FFL transfer or background check.
• Don't sell to, or buy for, anyone who is prohibited from possessing firearms, and don't ship into a state that bans silencers.
• If you sell firearm parts regularly for profit, you are likely engaged in the business and need the appropriate federal license.

You, not SilencerPart, are responsible for completing every transfer lawfully.

When you post a listing, you confirm that you own the item or have the right to sell it and that the listing is accurate. Don't list:

• A firearm part in an accessory category, or a firearm part described as a "solvent trap" or anything else to get around the rules
• Machine guns, destructive devices, or anything else still regulated under the NFA
• Stolen items, or items with altered or removed serial numbers
• Anything illegal for you to sell or for the buyer to own where they are
• Items you don't have, bait-and-switch offers, or the same item posted over and over
• Photos or text you don't have the right to use

Organizers set the price tiers, deadline and fulfillment terms. Group buys of firearm parts can only be organized by a verified FFL. Organizers must describe payment and fulfillment up front, collect payment only after the buy funds, and deliver what they described. Committing to a group buy is free and doesn't obligate you to pay until the organizer marks it funded. SilencerPart doesn't collect, hold or refund money for any group buy.

Don't use SilencerPart to:

• Offer or arrange to skip a required FFL transfer or background check
• Scam, defraud or mislead anyone, including fake payment or shipping schemes
• Harass, threaten or abuse other users, or send hateful or sexual content
• Send spam or unsolicited advertising through messages
• Scrape the site, overload it, or get around its security or limits
• Pretend to be someone else, or claim an FFL you don't hold

You can report a listing to us, and we review reports promptly. We may remove content, limit features or close accounts that break these terms, with or without notice, and we may share information with law enforcement as described in our privacy policy.

You keep ownership of what you post. You give SilencerPart a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to host, display, resize and share your listings and photos in order to run and promote the service, for as long as they're on SilencerPart. If you believe something here infringes your copyright, email hello@silencerpart.com with the details and we'll take a look.

SilencerPart is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. Suppressors and their parts can fail or be assembled incorrectly. Have anything you buy checked by someone qualified before you use it.

To the fullest extent the law allows, SilencerPart and its owners won't be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for losses from dealings between users, including group buys. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to $100.

You agree to indemnify SilencerPart against claims that arise from your listings, your messages, your deals or group buys with other users, or your breaking these terms or the law.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Georgia, and you and we both consent to their jurisdiction.

We may update these terms. We'll change the date above, and for significant changes we'll let account holders know. Using SilencerPart after a change means you accept the new terms.
