Suppressors for sale

Firearm part

Complete cans listed by other shooters: rimfire, pistol, .30 cal and magnum-rated. Since October 2026 there's no Form 4 or wait, but a suppressor is still a firearm, so out-of-state sales go through your FFL.

What to check before you buy a used suppressor

  • Caliber rating and bore size. Never run a cartridge larger than the can is rated for. A baffle strike from an oversize bullet can destroy it.
  • Mount system. A can on a HUB, ASR, KeyMo or other proprietary mount needs a matching muzzle device or adapter on every host.
  • Round count and what it's been run on. Full-auto, short barrels and magnum loads wear baffles faster than bolt-gun use.
  • Serial number on the tube. Ask the seller to confirm it's intact and legible; your FFL will record it on the 4473.
  • Whether the original pistons, spacers or end caps are included. Replacing them can run $50 or more per part.

Rimfire, pistol and rifle cans

Rimfire cans are light and cheap to run, but they get dirty fast; look for a design that comes apart for cleaning. Pistol cans need a piston (Nielsen device) to cycle tilting-barrel pistols, so check which pistons come with it. Rifle cans are usually rated by bore (.30 cal covers most cartridges up to .300 Win Mag on many cans) and mounted by a QD system or direct thread.

Common questions

Do I need an FFL to buy this?
If you and the seller live in different states, yes. The seller ships to your FFL and you complete a 4473 and background check there. If you live in the same state, federal law allows a private sale, but many states require an FFL transfer anyway. Check your state's rules before you meet.
Do I still need a tax stamp for a suppressor?
As of October 9, 2026, DOJ and ATF have said they won't enforce the NFA's approval, registration and tax requirements for silencers. That is an enforcement policy, not a repeal, and it could change.
