Privacy policy

• Account: your email address, used to send sign-in codes. No password is stored.
• Profile: the display name, city, state and bio you choose to add, and an FFL number if you're a dealer.
• Attestation: the date you confirmed you're 21 or older, not a prohibited person, and will follow the law. We store the date, not any documents.
• Listings and group buys: what you post, including photos, price, description and location.
• Group buy commitments: the quantity you commit to. The organizer sees who committed so they can arrange payment and transfer with you.
• Messages: messages you exchange with other users through SilencerPart.
• Saved items: listings you save and searches you save, including whether you want email alerts for them.
• Reports: listings you report to us.
• Usage: anonymous counts of listing views, shown to that seller. We use Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights, which count page views and load times without cookies and without identifying you. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser, page requested) for security and troubleshooting.

• To run the classifieds: show listings, deliver messages, sign you in and let you manage what you post.
• To send the emails you ask for, such as saved-search alerts and group buy updates. Every alert email has a one-click unsubscribe link.
• To keep the site safe and lawful: stop spam, fraud and attempts to skip a required FFL transfer, verify dealer FFLs, and act on reports.

We don't sell your personal information, we don't show ads, and we don't track you across other companies' apps or websites.

Listings and group buys are public, including their photos, description, price and location (city and state). Your display name, and a Verified FFL badge if you have one, are shown on what you post. Your email address and FFL number are never shown to other users. Messages are visible only to the people in the conversation; we may review them when investigating a report of fraud, abuse or an attempt to skip a required transfer.

We use a few service providers that process data on our behalf, only to run SilencerPart:

• Supabase, for the database, sign-in and photo storage
• Vercel, for hosting and anonymous analytics
• Resend, for sending email

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, such as a valid subpoena or court order, to protect people from harm or fraud, or as part of a sale or merger of the business.

You can delete your account yourself under Account → Delete account, or by emailing hello@silencerpart.com from the address you sign in with. Deleting your account removes your profile, listings, photos, group buy commitments, saved items and messages. If you're organizing a group buy that is still open or funded, cancel or complete it first. Server logs and backups expire on their own schedule, typically within 30 days. You can delete an individual listing any time from your dashboard.

You can ask for a copy of your information, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it by emailing hello@silencerpart.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law, and we will honor them.

Data is encrypted in transit, and database access is limited by per-user rules so you can only read and change what's yours. No system is perfectly secure, so please don't send bank details or copies of ID through messages.

SilencerPart is only for adults 21 and older, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone younger.

If we change this policy, we'll update the date above, and for significant changes we'll let account holders know. See also our terms of service.
