How group buys work

How does a group buy work?
The organizer sets price tiers and a deadline. You commit to a quantity; there's no payment yet. If enough people commit to reach the lowest tier, the organizer marks it funded, everyone pays the tier price reached, and the organizer contacts you to collect payment and shipping or FFL details.
What if it doesn't fund?
Nothing happens. Commitments are void, and you never owed anything.
Who can run a group buy?
Any member can organize a group buy for accessories like mounts, thread adapters and pistons. Group buys of firearm parts (baffles, tubes, end caps, kits, suppressors) can only be run by a verified FFL, and those parts ship to each buyer's FFL.
How do I avoid getting scammed?
Pay only after a buy is funded, use a payment method with buyer protection, and check the organizer's history. Never pay by wire, Zelle or gift card to someone you don't know. Report anything suspicious.
